We love dynamo wheel and lighting solutions. If you walk into our shop, there’s a good chance you’ll see us laughing while spinning one of our dynamo wheels, causing the connected light to shine in our eyes. Using our bodies to create electricity never gets old!

Dynamo front wheels have a hub that creates an electrical current while it spins. This current is most often used to power a front and rear light on your bicycle, but it can also be used to charge devices. These systems are useful for almost all riders, especially here in the Mid Atlantic where the on the Winter Solstice we receive only 9 hours of daylight.

While exceedingly popular (and sometimes legally mandated) in Europe, dynamo lighting systems have not yet become commonplace in the United States. We hope to change this, making dynamo wheels, lights and accessories accessible to the masses.

We keep a stock of hubs from the leading manufacturers including Shutter Precision, Shimano and Panasonic.
