Germantown Bicycle Supply is Mateus Kaplan and Jacob Kenney. Coming from opposite corners of the bike industry there was common ground found in the belief that bikes improve lives and the unwavering dedication to providing industry best services.

Because of our varied backgrounds we are able to provide a wide range of services and products ranging from electric cargo bikes to uncompromising repairs and custom builds, all with a customer-first ethos.

Mateus Kaplan

Mat has been in and around the bike industry for over 15 years as a professional endurance mountain bike racer, race coach, professional team mechanic and service manager. As one of the region’s premier technicians, he specializes in mountain, gravel and road services with a focus on optimizing performance and reliability in the most demanding conditions. Outside of the shop you can catch Mat on the streets of center city surrounded by pigeons.

Jacob Kenney

Jacob is an electric, commuter and cargo bike evangelist committed to helping families, individuals and companies replace automobile trips with a bicycle. He previously owned and operated Cycles PHL, a community oriented shop in North Philly that hosted bicycle education programs, guided bike camping trips and provided affordable bikes and repairs.
